Our mission is to create and promote family support opportunities in the Minneapolis community for families of children with disabilities, birth to five, in order to help them move from coping to flourishing.

Family Connections Newsletter
A quarterly newsletter sent to Minneapolis families of children at risk for delay or with disabilities, ages birth to five.  View past newsletters or sign up for e-mail delivery of this newsletter.

Parent to Parent Network
Talk with another parent of a child with special needs by phone, e-mail or in person.  Someone who has "been there" before you can listen and understand your challenges.  Parent mentors can offer ideas or information that may be helpful to you.  You're not alone in this struggle.

Changed by a Child
A monthly support group for parents of children with special needs.  Make connections, share concerns and learn more about navigating the system.  Meetings are held the second Wednesdays of every month.

Support Groups
There are a number of different support groups for parents of children with special needs.  There are fathers' groups, groups for parents of children with autism or down syndrome and groups for any families that have a child with special needs.  One may be right for you.

Did You Know?
Parents of children with special needs in Minneapolis may be eligible for reimbursement for costs for attending a class or workshop to learn about their child's disability.  Call 612-668-5107 for more information or e-mail Jean.

Autism Support
If you have questions about raising a child with Autism, families can contact Sandy Dolce, the Parent Advocate at the Minnesota Autism Society.  Sandy has two children on the autism spectrum and has a great deal of experience accessing services in our area.
